I am not a Jehovah's Witness, but I have family JW so I think we can be just the answer to your question:

Most modern Holidays-Travel has been established by the Catholic Church have been (and do not think he has the mental strength) and the day of St. Patrick and St. Valentine's Day or were pagan festivals, the "Christians were zados" like Holy Week. For Christmas, I hear good arguments against the pagan origin, but the shadow is enough to ban it. Halloween should be obvious, are not the only Christian organization against him.

Birthday, the birthday celebrations are mentioned in the Bible were held by men drinking corruption, ended as King Herod, whose birthday with the execution of John the Baptist. They see this as a sign that anniversaries are immoral. In a similar manner with the logic that the celebration of his birthday is egocentric, that the practice is contrary to the humility that we have as Christians.

Birthdays "JW Hmmm ... My whole family is celebrating a birthday, and I've never heardargue against birthdays, so I do not think they nothing against them, but it is simply a misunderstanding.

Politics of the day of the celebration, as the 4th July is prohibited because it is a form of idolatry (which is an idol), the government.

Other holidays (ie Thanksgiving) are generally regarded as "If the Bible does not say that to celebrate, no," the point of view, although I found that this is rather resilient person anyone.

The party is all that I know that I approve of the Passover (albeit very different) than the traditional Jewish Passover, since Jesus said, "Do this in remembrance of me."

Hope this helps!

Well, the answer, because the Watchtower Society (the address of the Jehovah's Witnesses) is prohibited.

Basically, the Watchtower Society forbids all holidays and birthdays as pagan in origin.

Interestingly, there are many other things, with "pagan origins" can the Watchtower. For example, alliances and marriage practices of many pagan superstitions. In addition, the theater of pagan Rome ... In fact, the Roman theater was the site of the martyrdom of many Christians in the first century.

Therefore, it is just one example of a man from company to choose what they let their supporters. It has little to do with the Bible and everything to check with.

You already have good answers in front of witnesses and those who really know. Now a question for you.

Why are they important to you, when Christ said at the memorial of the Last Supper on the first full moon after the day and watch in the spring equinox, the night of Passover?

There is no interpretation, there is controversy about what falls within the next few days, and Christ was a clear example of what to do. Easter falls on the same day, all eight years, and I doubt that Christ said to pagan symbols often random sex (rabbit) and natural reproduction (egg) to be used. Why did Christ act to ignore what he intended to do?

Let me illustrate: Suppose a crowd come, the house of a man who says they are there to celebrate his birthday.

It was not the anniversary celebration. He does not see people eat too much or getting drunk or in loose conduct.

But some of them have all these things, and brings gifts for everyone present except yourself! About this, they collect the birthday of one of the enemies of the people than the date of the celebration.

How does the man feel? Want to join? That is exactly what made it by Christmas.

I hoped that this assistance

rthdays found in the ancient (pagan) to honor individuals and to exorcise the demons of the year to continue. No servant of God has always spoken in the Bible as the celebration of his birthday. The only two birthdays celebrated, as mentioned in the Bible are people who do not do to serve God (Pharaoh and Herod). Jehovah's Witnesses believe that all that is what the Bible is a reason. Moreover, it should be pointed out that even Jesus himself, he asked his followers to celebrate his birthday. Instead, he left it until his death, commemorated by the Jehovah's Witnesses. The witnesses (1 Cor 11,23-26) Jehovah's follow the Bible. Since the Bible highlights bad for birthdays, and because of the pagan origins, be it a birthday, never to take place.

Birthdays: In fact, that many Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate his birthday (but) not as large and conspicuous. Birthdays are very different for her birthday. First, the birthdays are not the result of the pagan religion, such as birthdays. Secondly, tprove that the same places in the Bible, Jesus, a celebration of the wedding, that it is normal to be celebrated. (John 2:1-11) While birthdays are acceptable, do not give the Jehovah's Witnesses "everything" during the operation. In general, is to invite family and friends to lunch or go eat. You can get cards and gifts of others.

Jehovah's Witnesses try to live by the Bible. Most people agree that the holidays and birthdays have pagan origins. Most also agree that they have birthdays, and no basis in the Bible. The Bible does not command or even suggest its use. Thus, the Jehovah's Witnesses do not have respect for celebration. This does not mean the Jehovah's Witnesses to enjoy life. Rather, they are happy because they know that they are pleasing to God. In addition, enjoy Christian fellowship through the wonderful world full of people who love each other.

Thank you for the respectful tone of your question.

Most people do not look at the one party behaved. Simply follow to do what others. Holidays do not celebrate because Mr Witneses pagan roots are really ugly. I am sure that if you take the time and finding the truth about the birth of Jesus, the true origin of Valentine's Day or Thanksgiving can find something intresting.

Well, then it is publicly known
We do not share in the first two you mentioned.
Birthdays are something else.
We commemorate Christ's death a year.
Weddings, baby showers, graduations.
It is healthy that we expect visiting.
It is always a person or a family head
to decide whether to keep it or to participate.

We do not do these things because
not originate in God and His Son Jesus Christ.

Here are some biblical accounts, why Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate holidays and birthdays for the Bible.

Gen 40:20,21
"The chief baker of the beheading of the Pharaoh's birthday, which was the result of dream interpretation was given by Joseph through divine inspiration.

Matthew 14:6-11
"During the celebration of the anniversary of Herod, the daughter of Herodias asked the head of John the Baptist on a platter. In order to save face with the authorities and the people, he gives her hope.

Luke 22:19,20, 1 Corinthians 11:25,26
"Jesus gave his followers the mandate to continue the new alliance, which he celebrated with his disciples the bread and wine, red to the life and blood that was in the days following their introduction on the pole represented punishment that a perfect man be able to perfect as a propitiatory blood covers () to donate to sacrifice the ransom.
We did not see the Jehovah's Witnesses this day as a celebration but a reminder of what that day for mankind, as he says: "Keep"Do this in remembrance of me. "

Romans 13:13, Gal. 5:21, 1st Peter 4:3
"Can not say sadly trapped in drunkenness, orgies, bulk behavior, excessive alcohol consumption, that in the pagan and non pagan festivals and celebrations abound.

Ecclesiastes 7:1
"Salomon said that the day of death is better to be born as man is born in sin, but at his death, he liberates from sin, as Romans 6:23 For the wages of evidence .... sin pays is death.

I hope these scriptures to answer your question. For further information please contact one of Jehovah's Witnesses, because we are always ready to make our faith on the Bible.

In addition, must do without in terms of commentary on JW Zorak Christmas money, I would add this point.
"I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I always told my employers that do not celebrate Christmas or other holiday company, and that when the Christmas bonus was tied to the party, then I must give my cousin. My employer ALWays, "he said. "" No! "Bonds are not associated with the game and you will receive your bonus. You've worked hard for it and them." Because of our position on an issue that raises some employers still move, even the Christmas bonus to another day because they not be tied to the amount of the premium holiday, but the productivity of employees and work hard. Some employers have gone further to eliminate the celebration of Christmas at a company party without holiday themes. In one of my employers were part of the company in August, which was also the time when he, the responsibilities and opportunities for employees. If one of the TJ, the bonus KNOW clear and accepted that the party in relation to you, it is a matter between them and aware of the Lord. She says that Paul in Romans 14:12 So every note of us has to give of himself to God. "

We are looking for simply following the same Jesus did. And that is to serve and worship the one true God, Jehovah, and say that tOr you can do the same.

It seems odd that they did not celebrate the holidays but then again they have no problems with accepting payment for Working Holidays.
If you're a Jehovah's Witness, and honestly, I'm not celebrating Christmas, or should happen to respect any holiday that you get from your employer.
